Biography

With 18 years of profound dedication to the violin, N I M A is an artist whose passion and creativity transcend traditional boundaries. His journey began at the tender age of 5, winning first prize in a major State Music Competition for his exceptional talent in Persian music. For the first seven years of his career, he immersed himself in this genre, which is renowned for its improvisational nature. This early experience honed his skills in pressure management, on-the-spot creativity, and flexibility, while deepening his understanding of Middle Eastern music's intricate details.

Upon migrating to Australia, N I M A transitioned to Classical music, where he achieved High Distinction in Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) levels and garnered significant acclaim. His remarkable talent earned him the role of associate concertmaster of the Melbourne Youth Orchestra for two consecutive years, and he performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at prestigious venues such as Hamer Hall and Sidney Myer Music Bowl. His excellence in classical music also led to a scholarship under the mentorship of the esteemed violinist William Hennessy AM. Under Hennessy's guidance, N I M A transformed his playing and gained access to elite materials from institutions like the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM).

Despite these achievements, N I M A felt constrained by the traditional confines of orchestral and classical music. Driven by a desire for innovation and genuine creativity, he chose to forge his own path. In 2022, he established his own professional recording studio, delved into music production, and began releasing his tracks on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. His creative pursuits also include producing captivating music videos and assembling orchestras for tours across Australia with renowned Persian artists such as Sahar, Alireza Ghorbani, and Aref Arefkia, performing at iconic venues like the Sydney Opera House.
